Get involved with Act2
The Act2 Project is impossible without the input and insights of Uniting Church members everywhere.
As a whole Church, we’re on an intentional journey discerning the future of the Uniting Church in Australia. Between now and the 17th Assembly in 2024, there’ll be lots of opportunities to gather with others, share your insights and experiences, and explore specific ideas about the changes we might make and what our Church could look like in the future. As new opportunities arise you’ll find them on this page.
The Collective Discernment phase of the Project has now ended and the next phase - Recommendations for Action - has now begun. From December 2023 the Act2 team will be working to synthesise hundreds of responses from across the Church in response to the Act2 report. Watch this space for new opportunities that may arise ahead of the 17th Assembly in July 2024.

Act2: In Response to God’s Call is the latest report of the Act2 Project. It brings together a summary of what the Project heard out of significant engagement in the first phase, theological reflection, and two sets of options and directions for the future.

One way people can engage with the Act2 Project is by writing to us more formally. This is called a submission, and it is a way to influence the Project as we fold in the ideas, feedback and engagement of the whole Uniting Church.
